Menominee-Delta-Schoolcraft Community Action Agency is seeking a full-time individual to fill the role of Weatherization and Housing Rehab Director.
This position is required to oversee Department of Energy grants to assist low-income families in weatherizing their homes in a five county area of the Upper Peninsula in Michigan. A working knowledge of the Weatherization Program as administered by the state of Michigan is a preferred but MDSCAA will train the right person. A working knowledge of home construction a plus. Individual must have good communication skills, both verbally and written, as well as a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Access and Powerpoint. The ability to learn web based data systems is required. Training is provided on data systems.
Candidate will be required to receive training and certification in OSHA 10, LSWRRP, Health and Safety and Indoor Air Quality, Lead Abatement Renovator certification, ASHRAE 62.2 training and Energy Auditor training within program guideline timeframes. This individual will also act as the Program Manager for the CHIP Lead Abatement Grant serving all of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. A Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor certification will be required once hired and can be trained into.
Applicant must possess a bachelor level education in business, construction, management or related field. Associates degree in related areas with 5 years hands on experience in building construction is acceptable. Grant management is strongly recommended, but will train the right person.
MDS Community Action offers a competitive year round full time salary, full fringe benefit package including health, dental, life insurance, and retirement plan. Work schedule is Monday through Friday with weekends off. Wage range is dependent on education and ranges from $20.94-24.31/HR.
